The analysis
Twelve cubes, but not fixed as twelve. The box ships with 43 mesh plates and 44 ABS braces — more than one 12-cube layout uses — so the same kit can come out narrower, taller, or split into two smaller pieces instead of the default grid.
The catch is what it's rated to hold. 10 kg is the total load for the whole unit, and the reviews split along exactly that line: one buyer has kept hers for years holding A4 reference books, another says she wouldn't trust it with anything heavier than folded clothes. With a 10 kg ceiling on the listing, we'd plan for the cautious reading — linens and light boxes, not a book collection.
One spec worth reading twice: the listing gives a minimum door width of 76.2 cm, well under the assembled unit's 93 cm width. That's not a packaging note — it means the finished shelf won't pass through anything narrower once built, so it has to go together in the room it will live in.
In favour
- Ships with 43 mesh plates and 44 connectors, enough to rebuild into a different shape than the default 12-cube grid
- 4.5 average across 5,937 ratings
- Rubber mallet and two anti-spill devices are included, not sold separately
Against
- 10 kg rated load for the entire unit, thin for anything heavier than folded clothes or light boxes
- No assembly time is published, and reviewers describe needing real force plus the included mallet
- Sharp edges on the metal wire and plastic clips, several reviews suggest gloves
Best for: A wardrobe interior or awkward alcove that needs shelving built to its shape, holding clothes and light items rather than books.
What the people who bought it say
Reviewers consistently praise the modular layout and the room it frees up for customised configurations, from wardrobe dividers to kitchen storage rigged with zip ties. The recurring complaints are sharp edges on the metal and plastic clips, untidy corners where brackets overshoot the frame, and a clear sense that it isn't built for heavy loads like books.
Practical and Spacious Storage Solution with making our own Design
I recently purchased this and overall, I’m really pleased with the quality and functionality it offers.the “SPACE SAVIOUR” ✅ Pros: Generous Storage Capacity: With 4 levels and 3 rows, this cabinet provides ample room for organizing everything from clothes and books to toys and miscellaneous items. It’s ideal for bedrooms, closets, or even as an extra organizer in the living room. Customizable Configuration: The modular design allows for some flexibility in how the cubes are arranged. You can shape it to suit your space, which is a big plus in smaller or awkwardly shaped rooms. Modern Lattice D…
UPDATED REVIEW: Use it in your kitchen!!
UPDATE: I've probably had these well over a year now and used them the standard way in every application I could think of. They excel at holding A4 reference books, as few bookshelves will. But listen up ladies: if you want to unlock the true power of these, then chuck the instruction manual and get yourself a bulk bag of variety length zip ties. Zipties and these shelves (minus those evil little white connectors) are all you need to create AMAZING custom shelving for all of those super-annoying- yet-so-necessary kitchen items. See attached photo for my own creation. All I did was bind the var…
Good, sturdy storage unit
I bought this to go inside a wardrobe where I needed a bit of structure to the space. It looks OK (not very neat corners where the fixing brackets overshoot the end of the unit) - am not sure I'd want it on display but it does the job fine. It holds a lot of clothes with no problems - I don't think I would use it for anything heavy, like books, though. It was very easy to see how to build it - it just needed a bit of brute force in places, but they at least provide a mallet to do this with. There are options on how to configure the cubes - I chose to build mine 2 cubes wide and 3 tall but ther…
Easy mancave wardrobe. Like a giant shopping basket.
I like this storage, and bought it after doing a bit of research and shopping around. I got the 12 cube. I considered the 16 cube but that was probably too big for my space. It was the bestseller of its type on Amazon. It's relatively good value, easyish to build. There are a few sharp edges on the metal and plastic clips and it can be a bit rough on your hands and fingers. So maybe wear gloves if you feel like it. There's a rubber mallet to stomp the bits into place. I guess it's like assembling a giant shopping basket. It does have strength if everything is assembled tightly. It also has the…
