What we collect

Nothing that identifies you personally. Abatible is a static site: there are no sign-up forms, no user area, no newsletter. We do not collect your name, your email or your address.

Usage analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to know how many people visit the site and which pages they read. It helps us decide which guides to expand and which products to analyse; we do not use it to follow you around the internet or to sell your data to anyone.

It is off by default. The first time you arrive a notice appears with two buttons, Accept and Decline. Until you press Accept, your browser does not even ask Google for the file: it is not that the analytics loads and records nothing, it is that it is never downloaded. If you decline, we also delete any analytics cookies that might have been left from an earlier visit.

You can change your mind whenever you like from the "Cookie preferences" link at the foot of any page. Withdrawing permission is as easy as giving it.

If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and collects usage data: pages viewed, time on each one, device type, browser, language and an approximate location worked out from your IP address (city or region, never your address). Google handles that data under its own privacy policy.

And if you would rather not depend on our notice at all, you can block it from your browser, use private browsing, turn on tracking protection or install Google's official opt-out add-on for Analytics. The site works exactly the same with analytics blocked.

Storage in your browser

The comparison tool remembers which products you picked, and the theme switch remembers whether you prefer light or dark, in your own browser's local storage. That information never leaves your device, travels to no server, and you can delete it by clearing this site's data in your browser.

Third-party cookies

When you follow a link to Amazon, Amazon sets its own cookies in order to attribute the sale to our affiliate identifier. Those cookies are Amazon's and are governed by its privacy policy, not ours.

The site's typefaces load from Google Fonts, which means a request to Google's servers that records your IP address.

Your rights

We store no personal data of our own, so there is nothing to rectify or erase on our servers. For data collected by Google or Amazon you have to go to them directly: both offer forms to see, correct or delete the information tied to your account.

Changes

This page is updated before we add any new tool that collects data, not after. The analytics and the consent notice were added on 25 August 2026 and were written up here the same day.
