How to read the table
Folded thickness: how far it sticks out from the wall when the desk is stored on edge, behind a door or beside a wardrobe. Laid flat, that thickness is its height: if there are at least that many centimetres free under a bed or sofa, and the length fits too, it goes under.
Gap to store it: how long that gap has to be, which is the width of the folded desk.
Folded height: how tall the gap has to be if it is stored standing up. Where the maker does not publish it, we say so.
How to measure your gap
Measure the place where you will store it, not where you will use it: the length of free wall, the depth left before the door or the furniture opposite and, if it stands up, the height. If the gap is at least as long as the table says and as deep as the folded thickness, the desk fits on edge.
